Cookie Preferences
Manage your autovig.eu cookie choice: per-category toggles, defaults off for non-essential, equal-prominence reject, proof of consent under GDPR art. 7(1).
This page lets you review and change the cookie choice you made on autovig.eu. For the full legal framework and the per-cookie inventory, see the Cookie Policy. For how personal data flowing through these trackers is processed, see the Privacy Policy.
1. How to open the preferences dialog
The fastest way to change your choice is the Cookie preferences link in the footer of every page. It opens the same preferences dialog that the consent banner shows on first visit. From there each non-essential category can be toggled and saved in one click.
2. Defaults
All non-essential categories default to OFF. No tracker that requires consent is loaded until you actively accept it — either by clicking "Accept all" on the banner, or by enabling a category in this dialog and saving. This default reflects the requirement of article 5(3) of Directive 2002/58/EC, article 129 of the Belgian Loi du 13 juin 2005, the EDPB Guidelines 05/2020 §§ 13, 32, 36 and the CJEU rulings in Planet49 (C-673/17) and Proximus (C-129/21).
3. Equal-prominence rejection
The dialog presents "Accept all" and "Reject all" with identical visual weight, identical size, identical contrast and identical click-cost: one action either way. There is no pre-ticked box, no consent wall, no "scroll to consent", no nag screen on subsequent visits and no design pattern listed as deceptive in EDPB Guidelines 03/2022. Granular per-category toggles sit between the two and require an explicit "Save preferences" action to record the partial choice.
4. What each toggle controls
autovigconsent localStorage entry that records your choice, plus the Cloudflare cfbm cookie used for bot mitigation. Both are deployed without consent under the exemption of article 5(3) ePrivacy / article 129 of the Belgian Loi du 13 juin 2005.ga, ga_<container-id>). When disabled, the script is not loaded at all and no GA4 cookie is set. Default: OFF.The toggles are aligned one-to-one with the inventory in section 4 of the Cookie Policy.
5. Consent state visibility
When the dialog is opened with a previous consent on file, the per-category state and the timestamp of the last decision are displayed. You can re-accept, partially adjust, or fully withdraw in a single screen without leaving the page.
6. Where the choice is stored
Your choice is stored locally on this device in the localStorage entry autovig_consent. It contains the per-category decision, the timestamp of the decision and the version of the consent schema in use; nothing else. The entry is not transmitted to our server, is not synced across devices and never leaves your browser. Clearing your browser's site data resets the choice and brings the banner back on the next visit.
7. Proof of consent — why we keep the record
GDPR article 7(1) requires the controller to be able to demonstrate that consent was given. The autovig_consent entry serves that purpose: it shows, for each category and each device, what was chosen and when. Because the entry lives only in your browser, no centralised consent database exists on our side and we cannot identify you from this record. The combination is intentional: it produces an APD/GBA-defensible audit trail without creating a new processing of personal data on our servers. The lawful basis for keeping the record is compliance with a legal obligation (GDPR art. 6(1)(c) read with art. 7(1)).
8. Withdrawing or changing your choice
Withdrawal is as easy as the original consent (GDPR art. 7(3); EDPB Guidelines 05/2020 § 74):
autovig.eu — the banner reappears at the next visit, defaults reset to OFF;localStorage globally in your browser settings — the Site remains readable; the banner will reappear on every visit because we cannot remember a "reject" without storing it.Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before the withdrawal. Operational and security logs already collected under legitimate interest are retained per the Privacy Policy.
9. Accessibility of the preferences dialog
The dialog is keyboard-operable, focus order is preserved, every control has an accessible name, touch targets are at least 44 × 44 CSS pixels, and contrast meets WCAG 2.2 AA at the rendered breakpoints. The dialog can be dismissed with the Esc key, focus returns to the page element that opened it, and at 200 % zoom no horizontal scrolling is required to use it. Limitations known on small viewports are described in the Accessibility Statement.
If you cannot reach the dialog with your assistive technology, please write to us and we will record your choice manually under the same conditions; the contact route is in the Accessibility Statement.
10. If something is not working — changes — version
If the preferences dialog does not open, the most common cause is a browser extension blocking the consent script. Disable the extension for autovig.eu or use a different browser and try again. If the issue persists, please write to contact@autovig.eu with the URL, the browser, the operating system and any relevant extensions.
When the structure of the preferences dialog or the per-category list changes, the updatedAt date in the page header is revised, the consent-schema version is incremented and, where a change introduces a new consent-required tracker, the consent banner re-asks for consent. The Sources for this page are the same as those listed in the Cookie Policy and are not duplicated here.
