Hungary vignette validity and fines
When does it activate?
- 1-day and 10-day products usually activate immediately at purchase.
- Longer online products may start later because of consumer-law withdrawal rules.
What if you're caught?
- 1.ANPR camera or roadside control checks the plate.
- 2.The operator issues a substitute toll notice (pótdíj).
- 3.Unpaid cases can escalate to a higher administrative fine.
